Let’s get one question answered right away. Should I buy leads from a lead generation company? In our opinion, never do this.

When you take the easy way out and just buy a lead, the person on the other end of the phone has no idea who you are, or why they should even be talking to you, let alone be doing business with you.

Lead companies may advertise that their leads have been verified, double verified, or any number of other things, but most of the time your conversation starts off very cold and distant, with a very skeptical person on the other end of the line.

I’ve been there, and I didn’t enjoy calling people and trying to convince them of why they should be talking to me. I found it very draining, both physically, and emotionally.

It’s certainly not something I would like to spend my life doing!

We believe that the best option for successful MLM lead generation is to do it yourself.

Why?Because with each of the methods we’ll be discussing, they begin with forming a relationship with someone on some level. And we all like to do business with other people that we know and trust.

Generating your own leads is a skill, and sometimes an art form, that can be learned step by step…

The most important things to remember about generating MLM leads is that you’re talking to real people, with real wants, needs, goals and desires. 3. Article MarketingAgain, this is a good free way to get your name and links to your blog/website out there.

4. Email Marketing. This has become very popular in the internet marketing world. There are safe ways to do this, avoiding spamming and other illegal activities.

There are many Safe Lists, and Traffic Exchanges that are perfectly legal because people have opted in to receive your messages, and have given their permission to receive email from other subscribers.

Never just buy or collect lists of names of people that didn’t opt in/give you or your Safe List company permission directly to email to them.

This is a very serious offense in this day and age and you can be prosecuted. Do your research and make sure that the companies you deal with have subscribers that have opted in and agreed to receive emails.

If done efficiently, email marketing can still be very profitable, and many people are still using it.

5. Forum Marketing. There are forums all over the internet where people discuss every subject imaginable.

People love to get together into groups with others who share a common interest. Just Google your subject with the word forum attached and you’ll get thousands of them.

Join one and begin to interact with people. There’s a specific way to do this to generate MLM leads. We'll be teaching you how.

5. SEO – stands for Search Engine Optimization. Basically this is the study of making a website friendly to human visitors and search engine Spiders.

Every page of your website and/or blog needs to give visitors what they’re looking for when they go online. Your site has to be relevant to what the searcher is looking for.

If it’s not, then the searcher will eventually give up and go to another search engine, which means less traffic for the engine, because people quickly leave when they don't find what they're looking for.

That means fewer people clicking on the advertiser’s links. Fewer clicks for advertisers links means unhappy advertisers. No advertisers, no money. No money, no search engine…

There’s a concentrated move right now at the search engines to award valuable client centered content, and to penalize tricks and search engine manipulation.

6. YouTube is currently the 4th most visited site on the internet. It’s a place where you can brand yourself in many different ways.

You can post videos about your primary company (if you already have one), or product reviews and trainings, subjects of interest, family vacations…

You can talk about anything that tells people who you are and gives them valuable content about what they're searching for on the internet.

7. Pay Per Click. This service is offered by Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. You know - those ads that show up on the right hand column of the Google page?

If you don't know what we're talking about, type something into Google and look at the responses. Now look at the far right hand column. Those are the pay per click ads. The advertisers are charged based upon the number of times that people click on their ads.

It’s very important that you know what you’re doing when using pay per click, or you could land yourself in financial trouble really fast.

It’s a very profitable and effective way to generate MLM leads when you know what you’re doing – but make sure you know what you’re doing before spending money on this form of advertising. Many people have gone broke before figuring how to do it properly.

8. Social Media. The two most popular are Facebook and Twitter. They’re both huge online gathering places for people to talk about whatever they’re into.

People promote businesses, social agendas, politics, clubs, or just use them as a place to connect with friends or make new friends.

Most people place a great deal of importance in belonging to groups of various kinds. These social media sites are a great place to identify with whatever you’re into and find people who share, or sometimes strongly disagree with your views.

As long as it’s done with respect, everyone’s entitled to their views on the issues of life.
