We’ve had a home-based business since 2004. For many years we did things the traditional way – face to face, in person. We’d always done well, and enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle.

Then something changed. As the economy worsened, our business came to a halt. We thought things would improve, so we diligently kept working away – the way we’d always done, doing things the way we’d always done them. But things went from bad to worse.

Fortunately, we had a healthy savings. We were optimistic. And we worked hard. But…Nothing happened – except that our savings accounts dwindled to nothing. It got so bad we even had to borrow money to pay our mortgage!

We tried to find jobs – something, anything. With the high unemployment rate, jobs were anything but plentiful. We found ourselves in an over-saturated job market, with seemingly no transferable skills! We had been very successful in the past. We had graduate degrees. No one even wanted to talk to us!

This was a reality check. We knew there had to be a way to make money. We also came to realize that the only jobs we were going to find were jobs we created for ourselves. We’d done it in the past; certainly we could do it again!

Sometimes when you go through difficult times, you come to realize what’s really important. We had always had a faith in God. But having faith when times are good, money is plentiful and you’re riding high, is easy. Faith tested is when it becomes meaningful – you can choose to give up on it, or let it get stronger.

As our faith in God grew, and trust in His provision, our path became clearer. We turned to Him as our Source, looked to Him and His Word for direction in our life.

In the midst of everything, back when we were trying to make our traditional home-business work, a good friend introduced us to a Network Marketing company, with a powerful product. At first, we were just interested in taking the product – a high quality nutritional supplement. But our friend went on to share with us the compensation plan, and the business opportunity.

We had never considered doing Network Marketing. It just never seemed like a legitimate way to make money. But yet our friend was doing quite well. Much better than we were! How could we ignore the facts?

So we signed up. And approached the business in the traditional way – face to face, hosting home meetings. It grew, but very slowly. We knew there had to be a better way. We wanted to find a way to reach more people, beyond our little group of family, friends and acquaintances.

What better place to do research, than on the internet. Right? Well, that’s what we thought. That is until we actually started doing research. We found that good information was sparse. Mostly what we found were websites all advertising fantastic-once-in-a-lifetime-make-tons-of-money-overnight- promises. We found precious little information on how to run a business on-line.

How does it all work? We already had a business idea (the Network Marketing Company), but what if we didn’t know what we wanted to do? Where would we start? How do you find a good, real business? How do you get clients? How do you do a website? How do you market? Is this even possible to do on-line?

As we worked to sort out all of this, our mission became clear. How many others out there are looking for a new way to make money? How many people have lost their jobs and need to either find a new career, or get something else going until they find another job?

We personally knew of several people in the same boat – how many more were out there that we could help?

That’s why we developed our website and blog that focuses on doing a home-business on-line, from A to Z. We wanted to establish a safe place where people could do research without wasting hours wading through countless sales pages, and false promises of overnight success that are so prevalent out there on the internet.

We learned what it takes to be successful internet marketers, and want to share the knowledge with others. Our goal is to help keep others from making huge mistakes, wasting precious time – and instead focus on activities that will lead to success.

So…. what happened to us? Well, the funny thing is, when we began to focus on helping others, things changed. Our business grew. I won’t say overnight – it took several months.

More importantly though, we found a business that we absolutely love. We are more fulfilled than we have ever been in our entire lives. We get to spend time together, working like we had always dreamed of. We feel that God truly did lead us down this path – the journey has been interesting, at times painful, but we are thankful that we did not give up.
